Hydroponic farming system excludes the use of soil in farming and leans into mediums such as sawdust, coconut fiber but most importantly a nutrient filled solution. Seeing as the rate of degradation of soil all over the world keeps rising, and the farm land acreage can’t keep up with the growing world population, hydroponic farming might easily be the future of agriculture. However, in order for hydroponic plants to grow successfully, constant monitoring needs to be done. This includes, the pH levels, sunlight levels, water levels, temperature etc. which may be challenging to keep up with. Hydroponic farmers have thereby adopted the right tech developments aiding in their challenges. Some of these algorithms include, AI-SHES (artificial intelligence based smart hydroponics expert system) and IoT (Internet of Things)
